Extend Income Tax Return Filing Due Dates: urges Professionals.

The deadline for filing individual ITR is December 31, 2020.

The Direct Tax professionals have also sought extension of date for filing income tax returns for audit cases.

The professionals said that the corona pandemic has affected normalcy in operations. Also, many professionals, as well as their staff, have themselves suffered Covid-19 infection.

As per the Income Tax Department of India, For AY 2020-21 over 4.06 Income Tax Return have been filled till the date 25th of December, 2020.

The Direct Tax professionals’ body has also sought for extension of date for filing declaration under Vivad se Vishwas (VSV) scheme from December 31, 2020 to February 28, 2021. They have also sought an extension in the time limit for holding AGMs of companies.
